1330416 Stamping F B HATEBUR AG 3 Nov 1971 [3 Nov 1970] 51131/71 Heading B3Q The stamp bearer on a pivot in a stamping press is horizontally and vertically adjustable by means of an adjustable guide, both the pivot and guide engaging vertical grooves in the press slide. In Fig. 1, after releasing clamping bolts which pass through holes 3, the bearer 1 is turned about a pivot 33 by screws 23, 24 which engage screwthreads 21, 22 in the bearer and bear against a guide pin 34. The latter engages a slot 12 in the bearer and is adjustable vertically, by a screw 18, in a groove 17 in the slide 2 so as to raise or lower the bearer. The pivot pin 33 engages a vertical groove 10 in the slide to accommodate its vertical displacements as the bearer is turned about the pin by the screws 23, 24. The pivot pin 33 and guide pin 34 may be replaced respectively, by pin and slide block assemblies 7, 9 and 13, 15. A curved slot 12 may be used, Fig. 7 (not shown), if it is desired to effect horizontal displacement of the bearer axis 25 without a vertical component to be cancelled by the screw 18. In another construction, Fig. 10, the slot 28 for the bearer is formed in a bush 27, which swivels during adjustment of the bearer by screws passing through clearance holes in the bush to engage the pin 32. The pivot may be located at the top of the slide and the adjustment device at the bottom.
