Abstract

1329184 Cleaning glass sheets DEVAC Inc 19 April 1971 [25 March 1970] 24856/71 Heading A4F Apparatus for cleaning sheets, such as window sashes 5, comprises a housing mounted on a support, means, such as a driven endless belt 46 and driven rollers 120, 122, 124, and 126 for transporting the sheets through the housing, means such as driven rotary brushes 140, 154 and 128, 146, Fig.3 (not shown) and liquid sprayers 176 and (178) for washing the sheets within the housing, means such as drain pipes 202, 203, and (204) and a tank 194 for collecting the liquid used for washing the sheets, and wiper blades 410, 426; 438, 460; and 470, 482 for wiping the upper, intermediate, and lower portions respectively, of the sheets after washing. In the vicinity of the wiper blades 410, etc, the upper and lower portions of the sheets are cleaned by suction applied through manifolds 276, 502, respectively. (For Figures see next page)
