Abstract

1328833 Releasable fastenings WILH FRANK GmbH 15 Dec 1970 [16 Dec 1969] 59407/70 Heading E2A A device for the longitudinal adjustable connection of flat elongate members of window or door fittings comprises a first rack 4 provided on the wide side of a first flat elongate member 1 and which meshes with a second rack 10 provided on the wide side of a second flat elongate member 3, at least one of the racks being detachably secured to its associated elongate member by the engagement of pins 14, provided on the rack in holes 15 provided on the wide side of the said associated elongate member; the racks are provided with teeth having perpendicular flanks 7, 8 and radiussed or chamfered flank edges. As shown, a push member 1 forming part of a window corner fitting 2 has connected thereto a rack 4 which is in mesh with a rack 10 integral with a coupling member 11 of U-shaped cross-section. The member 3 may have therein holes 15 and slots 16. The device is disposed in a groove 17 in the frame 18 and is covered by a rail 20.
