Abstract

1328244 Bearings SKF (UK) Ltd 10 June 1971 [30 June 1970] 31587/70 Heading F2A In a roller bearing in which the rollers are guided by flanges, the outer race ring 1 and one guide flange 2 are formed as one member and the second guide flange 5 and a mounting flange 6 are formed as a separate second member. One guide flange 7 of the inner ring may also be formed as a separate member. The race ring members are produced from bearing steel, whilst the flange members are stamped from mild steel, the surfaces contacting the rollers being case-hardened. The separate members may be joined by soldering or epoxy resin.
