Abstract

1327821 Demountable bodies LEXTILLOTSON (TOTTON) Ltd 11 Oct 1971 [13 July 1970 23 July 1970] 33850/70 and 47317/70 Heading B7B A closed passenger seating and windowed body having a stepped passenger entry and exit 5 is provided with extensible legs 2 adapted to support the body independently of a vehicle chassis. The legs, which may be hydraulically or mechanically operable, may be hinged so as to be retractable to a stowed position. The body may have an underframe (Fig. 3, not shown) having female conical locating elements which mate with similar male elements on a chassis. Locking elements for fixing the body to the chassis may be provided.
