Abstract

1326199 Lighting system for a road vehicle JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 1 Dec 1970 [17 Dec 1969] 61436/69 Heading G1A In a road vehicle lighting system of the shutter and anti-dazzle kind wherein a shutter is moved across the path of a head lamp beam in response to a photo-cell receiving light from an oncoming vehicle, the casing contains a vertical wall 14 which extends parallel to the optical axis of the detector and its corresponding aperture 12, said wall carrying a plurality of fins 16 which extend towards the optical axis of the detector to minimise the risk of reflection of light from the wall 14 into the detector to avoid false operation of the system.
