Abstract

1325695 Selective printing PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 26 Aug 1970 [29 Aug 1969] 41102/70 Heading B6F A print hammer comprises an impact beam 3, two flexible support members 5 and means 11 for attaching the supports to fixed supports 39, the impact beam, flexible supports and attachment means being a unitary moulding in synthetic resin such as polyacetal. An energizing coil 19 and connecting wires 21 may be moulded into the hammer body. The flexible support members 5 may decrease in cross-section as shown or may each have two narrowing portions (57, Fig. 5) where the support flexes. The attachment means may interconnect the two support members (Fig. 4, not shown). The hammer impact beam may be reinforced by metal or glass fibre embedded therein, and the flexible support members may be reinforced with glass fibre.
