1316659 Sail battens B B BANKS 22 Nov 1971 [29 Dec 1970] 61659/70 Heading B7V A sail batten 1 comprises a flexible rod or tube 2 e.g. of bonded glass fibre, which may taper from the outer end 2b to the inner end 2a, and end members 3, 4 formed integrally with, secured to or adapted for securing to the ends of the rod or tube 2. The end members 3, 4 which are generally fiat may be moulded from glass filled nylon and may have sockets to provide an interference fit with the ends of the rod or tube 2.
