Abstract

1323917 Active filters INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 18 Dec 1970 [30 Dec 1969] 60207/70 Heading H3U A filter device comprises a filtering circuit SWF1 including a local oscillator H1, and a switched filter SWF2 both fed from the same input E, the output of the filtering circuit SWE driving the switches of the switched filter SWF2 so as to deliver an output S with substantially zero phase shift relative to the input E. The filtering circuit SWF1 may also be a switched filter, with oscillator H1 providing a switching signal at the nominal input frequency. The phase shift may be made as near to zero as required by providing further switched filters all fed with the input signal E, and receiving switching signals from the output of the previous one, e.g. the output from SWF2 would provide the switching signal for the next one, in the same way as SWF1 provides the switching signal for SWF2.
