1323070 Artificial seaweed IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 9 Nov 1970 [21 Nov 1969] 57129/69 Heading E1H Artificial seaweed for influencing sedimentation comprises threads, tapes or filaments attached in loops to anchoring means. The threads or the like are preferably made of synthetic polymers, e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, polyhexamethylene adipamide, and polyethylene terephthalate. The loops may be attached to lead or iron weights of concrete blocks, or they may be attached at intervals to a rigid or flexible member or two such members in parallel. The flexible member may be a rope or chain to which the loops are bound, a protective shoe of e.g. nylon protecting the bindings from abrasions. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 984077.
