1322086 Conveyer systems VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY I PROEKTNO KONSTRUKTORSKY INSTITUT PODJEMNO - TRANSPORTNOGO MASHINOSTROENIA POGRUZOCHNO - RAZGRUZOCHNOGO I SKLADSKOGO OBORUDOVANIA 30 June 1971 30537/71 Heading B7L An overhead conveyer comprises load trolleys 8, with front and rear pivotable pawls 6 and 7 respectively, driven along a load track 2 by pushers 5, on a traction chain 4 supported by carriages 3 on a drive track 1, engaging the pawls 6 which have portions 9 wider than the pushers 5 or rear pawls 7; a stopping plate 13, mounted on a lever 12 pivoted on an axle 11 having its axis parallel to, above and laterally displaced from the track 2, urged into contact with a portion 9 of a front pawl 6 by a counterweight 15 on the lever 12 to depress the pawl and disengage the associated trolley from its corresponding pusher 5, the zone of contact of the portion 9 and plate 13 being out of the path of both the pushers 5 and rear pawls 7. The trolley so disengaged is arrested by a projection 14 on the plate 13 engaging the portion 9. An electromagnet 16 urges an armature 17, when the former is actuated by a pusher 5, against an adjusting bolt 18 on the counterweight 15 to pivot the lever 12 about axle 11 and disengage the plate 13 from the portion 9 to allow the pusher 5 to engage the front pawl 6, (position shown in dotted line in Fig. 2). The stopping plate 13 may be of sawtooth form Fig. 3 (not shown), to prevent back rolling of the trolley 8.
