Abstract

1321725 Ceiling ventilators NORSK VIFTEFABRIKK AS 19 April 1971 [4 March 1970] 23024/71 Addition to 1292221 Heading F4V A ventilation system for a building comprises spaced parallel ducts 1 within a space defined by a suspended ceiling, the ducts serving as air supply and/or extraction channels and being apertured, mountings 3 for suspending the duets 1 from the ceiling 2 being fitted with supports 11 for plates 12 carrying lighting fittings 13 and with supports 14 for carrying transparent or translucent panels 15 beneath the lighting fittings and other panels 16 elsewhere, the panels being apertured or spaced apart one from another to permit air flow between the room and the space 17 above the panels 15. The ducts 1 are apertured only in the region of the lighting fixtures to provide air cooling thereof. The mountings 3 are adjustable to alter the space between the ducts 1 and ceiling 2. The panels 15 are made of glass or plastics, and the panels 16 may be formed of sound absorbent material. The ducts 1 are of circular or rectangular crosssection.
