Abstract
1321574 Conductors of dynamoelectric machines SIEMENS AG 14 Feb 1972 [12 Feb 1971] 6744/72 Heading H2A A conductor bar, for an electrical machine slotted stator, comprises four stacks A ... D, Fig. 1, of side by side mutually insulated elongate conductors 1 ... 12 &c. so transposed that in progressing along the bar one conductor, e.g. 1, Fig. 2, occupies successively different positions in the first stack A and after emerging at one extremity of that stack extends across, Fig. 3, the corresponding extremity of the second stack B to become the extreme conductor of the third stack C, Fig. 4, and then occupies successively each position in that stack to emerge at the opposite extremity of that stack and extend across the like extremity of the second stack B to rejoin the first stack A and become the like extreme conductor of that stack; similarly, the next conductor 2 occupies successively different positions in the second stack B and after emerging at the said extremity of that stack extends across the corresponding extremity of the third stack C, side by side with the one conductor 1 as it extends across the second stack B, and becomes the corresponding extreme conductor of the fourth stack D, and then successively occupies each position in the fourth stack and after emerging at the opposite extremity of that stack extends across the like extremity of the third stack C side by side with the conductor 1, and rejoins the second stack to become the like extreme conductor of that stack. The conductors may be hollow to receive cooling fluid, there may be any multiple of four conductors arranged in four stacks, the distances along the bar between successive locations of bending the conductors may be uniform or otherwise, and the bar may comprise one and a half cycles of such bending.
