Abstract
1283240 Electrical machine conductor arrangements ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AB 22 Dec 1969 [23 Dec 1968] 62280/69 Heading H2A In a rotary electrical machine comprising a magnetic core, e.g. of the stator of a synchronous generator, having in a plurality of axially directed winding slots a plurality of coil sides 4, 5 upon which radial forces are exerted by slot welding means, at least one such coil side is disposed in the slot in such an elastically deformed state that its centre line has a shape which in a predetermined manner deviates from that in the unstressed condition. The invention is to reduce coil side movement due to fluctuating magnetic forces, and as shown varying and uniform thickness insulating inserts 9, 10, cause the originally straight coil sides to have a sinusoidal shape when short wedges 12 are driven in. In other embodiments the opposite, or both, inserts are of varying thickness, varying thickness layers are provided between the coil sides and the sides of the slots, or pockets of core laminations are angularly displaced to cause the slots to have a wave-shape.
