Abstract

1321481 Coating ASSOCIATED ENG Ltd 4 May 1971 [11 May 1970] 22740/70 Heading B2E A method of producing a plastic coating on an article comprises spraying on to the article with a plasma spray gun plastic and sufficient metal or ceramic powder to produce a cohesive coating. The plastic may be in dry powder form and the metal or ceramic powder may constitute 10% of the volume. Preferred metals are aluminium, lead, nickel or alluminium alloy, lead or nickel and the ceramic may be chrome oxide or alumina. The plastics mateerial may be polytetrafluoroethylene or other fluorinated hydrocarbons.
