1320799 Thienoimidazole derivatives HOFFMAN-LA ROCHE & CO AG 27 Nov 1970 [29 Nov 1969] 48703/72 Divided out of 1320798 Heading C2C Novel compounds I wherein R represents benzyl, the rings A and B are cis-linked or, when X is H, the H atoms in 3a, 4 and 6a positions are cis-linked; X is H or OH and Y is (1-4 C alkoxy) propyl, carboxybutyl, (1-4 C alkoxy) butyl benzyloxybutyl, bromobutyl, or cyanobutyl (provided that when Y is bromobutyl or cyanobutyl X is H and when Y is carboxybutyl X is OH) or X and Y together signify (1-4 C alkoxy)-propylidene or -butylidene, carboxybutylidene or benzyloxybutylidene, are prepared by any of the following reaction schemes (R 1 represents C 1-4 alkyl X<SP>1</SP> represents Cl or Br and R 2 represents benzyl or C 1-4 alkyl) (For Reaction Schemes see next page)
