1298619 Thienobenzopyran and thiopyranobenzopyran derivatives ARTHUR D LITTLE Inc 13 July 1970 [25 Aug 1969] 33970/70 Headings C2C and C2P Novel compounds of the general Formula I wherein R 1 is C 1-6 alkyl; R 2 is C 1-20 alkyl or cyclo C 3- 8 -alkyl-C 1-6 -alkyl; R 3 is hydrogen, C 1-6 -alkyl, C 1-6 alkanoyl, carbamoyl, N-C 1-6 - alkyl or N,N-di-C 1-6 alkyl carbamoyl, phosphonyl or N,N-C 1-6 -dialkylamino or C 1-6 alkyl; m is one or two, n is zero or one and m+n is two or three may be prepared by reacting the keto compound V with a Grignard reagent R 1 MgX where X is a halogen and optionally reacting I wherein R 3 is hydrogen in standard procedures to form compounds I in which R 3 is other than hydrogen. Pharmaceutical compositions of the compound I with the usual excipients or the compound I alone show central nervous system activity when administered intramuscularly or orally.
