1319808 Shearing SIEMAG SIEGENER MASCHINENBAU GmbH 16 Sept 1970 [19 Sept 1969] 44127/70 Heading B3W Crank-shears for cutting rolled stock comprise blade carriers 10, 11 respectively pivotally mounted on crank-pins 4, 5 of crank-shafts 2, 3 rotatable in a fixed support 1, carrying blades 12, 13 at one end and being pivotally connected at the other end to levers 14, 15 which are mounted in the support 1 on pivots at least one of which is in the form of an eccentric pin 16, 17 rotatable in the support to adjust the cutting clearance between the blades. The or each eccentric pin is preferably rotated by an irreversible drive such as a worm and an electric servomotor.
