Abstract

1319678 Glue roller XEROX CORP 5 Nov 1970 [10 Nov 1969 (3)] 52682/70 Heading B2L [Also in Divisions B6 and B8] A glue wheel 101 is supported on a shaft 185 mounted in slots 186 on an adhesive container 100. A solenoid 190 is operatively connected to the shaft 185 and may be energized to withdraw the glue wheel 101, against the action of a spring (not shown), from the path of a label carried therepast on a land 83. Such energization is in response to machine readable instructions fed into the machine on a label web (see Division B8).
