Abstract
1319421 Conversion processes using zeolite catalysts MOBIL OIL CORP 19 April 1971 [13 April 1970 24 Dec 1970 25 Feb 1971 19 March 1971] 26770/71 Heading C5E Reformates and reformer effluents are upgraded under conversion conditions by contacting with a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite which has (i) a SiO 2 : Al 2 O 3 ratio greater than 15, (ii) been crystallized from a solution containing organic cations so that it contains same and (iii) a pore size such that it sorbs methylparaffins under said conditions. The catalyst may contain 0À01-30 wt. per cent of a standard hydrogenation / dehydrogenation component (many examples of catalysts are given). The examples describe the treatment of n-octane with and without benzene, a reformate obtained from a mid-continent naphtha and a C 6 reformate effluent stream.
