Abstract
1318993 Measuring fluid flow BOWLES FLUIDICS CORP 20 April 1970 [21 April 1969] 50971/72 Divided out of 1318992 Heading G1R In a fluidic sensor responsive to fluid flow a power jet 73 at a pressure P + is issued from a nozzle 71 perpendicular to the fluid flow V Flow which the jet 73 from a receiver 75 towards a receiver 77 to apply a pressure P out to a high gain amplifier 70 to vary the pressure P + which is a measure of the fluid stream velocity. Embodiments are described and shown in which three receivers are used, Fig. 2 (not shown), the power jet is used with a cross flow vortex sensor or a two axis flow sensor, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) and the power jet and receivers are located in a tube provided with flow straightness ahead end, Fig. 5 (not shown).
