Abstract
1318992 Measuring fluid flow BOWLES FLUIDICS CORP 20 April 1970 [21 April 1969] 18777/70 Heading G1R In a fluidic sensor for monitoring a fluid stream flow velocity component a power jet 15 at a pressure P+ is issued from a nozzle 11 towards a receiver tube 13 parallel to the ambient fluid V Fbw and if the flows V Flows is in the same or opposite direction to the jet 15 the dynamic pressure P out in the receiver increases or decreases. Embodiments are described and shown in which power jets oppose one another, Figs.4 and 7 (not shown), and in which the power jet and receiver are located in a cylinder, Fig.6 (not shown), provided with fluid flow straightening vanes at each end.
