Abstract
1318741 Sewing machine MARUZEN MISHIN KK 5 Aug 1970 [5 Aug 1969] 37860/70 Heading D1G A sewing machine has a recess 2, open at the top and front of the bed, in which is pivotably mounted on accessories receptacle A which can be moved between a retracted position in which it is housed within the recess and a projecting position in which a major portion projects forwardly from the bed to extend the latter. The receptacle is provided with pivot pins engaging notches in the bed, so that the receptacle may be lifted and removed from the bed; with abutments which contact corresponding bed abutments in the bed, and a pivoted lid 7. A cover 15 abuts a rebate 7' when the bed is extended and a projection 4' when the receptacle has been rocked back into the bed. A further extension 18 is pivoted to the bed and, when raised, is supported by a spring biassed bracket (22, Fig. 4 not shown).
