Abstract

1317402 Adjustable ventilators C C COZENS 18 Aug 1971 [11 June 1971] 27659/71 Heading F4V A wall ventilator comprises an integrally cast frame 1 of mineral material having grooves (4) for receiving a hit and miss damper 5. The mineral material may be plaster or hydraulic cement. A fly screen (8) is secured to the frame 1 during the moulding operation. The frame 1 is secured to the inner surface of a wall over a ventilating opening, and the ventilator also comprises an outer and inner and an intermediate component (3, 2 Figs. 3, 2), made of brick or concrete. The outer component also includes a fly screen (9). The damper 5 is formed by two pieces of flexible plastics sheet having rectangular openings which are sprung into position in the grooves (4). The fly screens are made of perforated zinc plate.
