Abstract
1317113 Arm rest and rib protector B H DYSON 6 July 1972 [14 Sept 1971] 42695/71 Headings A4J and A4M A member forming a combined arm rest and rib protector for attachment to the backrest of a motor car seat, comprises a rigid support of L-shaped cross-section and a pad of foam rubber or plastics material, the support and pad being enclosed within a covering formed with a tongue for attachment to the backrest and about which the major portion of the member may pivot. The support may be of wood, metal or plastics material and the covering of leather or plastics material. The member is permanently fixed to the backrest such that the major portion is movable about an axis parallel to the backrest to a position in which it may be secured about a seated person by a seat belt. Two members may be fitted for full body protection. (For Figure see next page)
