Abstract

1316628 Vibratory sieve "RHEWUM" RHEINISCHE WERKZEUG-UND MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH 1 June 1970 [13 June 1969] 26258/70 Heading B2H A sieve machine comprises a sieve box, a sieve fabric, e.g. of wire mesh or textile fabric, which is clamped in position at its edges, an inlet for material to be sieved and outlets for the sieved components of the material, and vibrator units for the direct excitation of the sieve fabric surface, the sieve fabric surface being divided at right angles to the direction of feed over its whole extension into individual regions, each of which is individually tensionable and each having its individual vibrator unit associated therewith. As shown in Fig. 1 this sieve fabric 1 is clamped in a frame 2 by adjustable fastening and tension elements 3. The sieve fabric surface is divided at right angles to the direction of feed into six regions 4 which are associated with six elements 3 on each longitudinal edge of the fabric. The fabric surface is divided in the direction of feed into five regions each associated with a tension element 3. Each vibrating unit, Fig. 6-8, comprises a number of heads 9 located on beater levers 8 mounted on a shaft 7 supported in rubber bearings 5. Vibration is imparted to the shaft 7 by an electromagnet 10 via a lever 11. The vibrator units may operate synchronously or asynchronously and at different frequencies and intensities, and the regions of the fabric may be of equal or unequal width and tension.
