1316491 Optical projection apparatus, film movement E MARTINEZ and R H REIBEL 14 May 1970 23378/70 Headings G2A and G2E For use in a strip film projection a film advance mechanism includes a claw arm 69 (see Fig.7) provided with a guide follower 71 which cooperates with guide 60 whose elongate projecting surface urges the claw through aperture 59 in film gate so as to engage a film sprocket hole 51 and advance the film. When the film advance stroke is completed the resilience of the arm 69 permits it to spring clear of the end of the guide 60 and the claw arm may then return to the position shown in Fig. 7 without reverse movement of the film. As shown in Fig. 6 the guide comprises two spaced surfaces 60, the claw arm 69 and its two followers 71 appearing T-shaped when viewed from the end thereof. Operation of the film advance is achieved by manually depressing ears 66 (see Fig. 6). Fig.3 shows the arrangement of the components of the projector, cooling air moving out through the top of the projector as a result of its being warmed by the baffles 25 adjacent the light.
