1316197 Water heaters; concentric-tube heat exchangers SOCIETE D'ETUDE ET DE CONSTRUCTION DE CHAUDIERES EN ACIER SECCACIER 30 April 1971 12459/71 Headings F4A and F4S A domestic water heater comprises an outer chamber 1 for primary water and a coaxial inner chamber 5 with detachable end plates 5 1 , 5 2 for secondary domestic water, both chambers having helical baffles 6, 7 to produce counterflow of water in the chambers; primary water from a boiler enters at 3 and discharges at 4 whilst cold domestic water enters at 6 1 and hot domestic water discharges at 6 2 . The detachable end plates 5 1 , 5 2 provide access to the inner chamber 5 which has a lining of polyamide to protect against tartar deposits and corrosion.
