Abstract

1315412 Film cartridges EASTMAN KODAK CO 22 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 30151/70 Heading G2A A cartridge for web material such as photographic film consists of a cylindrical member 10 comprising a pair of end walls 28 and a sheet 13 attached to them, the ends 14, 15 of the sheets overlapping slightly so as to form a flap F. The flap can be bent away so as to form a convenient opening through which the film can be withdrawn, or through which an exposed film can be fed back into the cartridge (Fig.8). A transverse groove 16 facilitates this bending action. The cartridge can be closed up by closing the flap F and sealing it down with tabs 30, which can be broken when it is desired to draw out the film. Figs. (not shown) 7-11 are of modified arrangements for forming and sealing the flap. The end walls may be formed so that they can be engaged by supporting and rotating means.
