Abstract

131,502. Kestner, P. Oct. 18, 1918. Shaft furnaces. - A furnace for baking small rings forming packing-material for a Glover tower, comprises a chamber 11 heated by gas supplied through pipes 12 to which the rings are delivered from a hopper 13. The furnace is provided at the bottom with lateral openings through which air enters, and with a conical deflector which diverts the baked rings into trucks.
