Abstract
1313866 Coating by evaporation BAYER AG 24 June 1970 [3 July 1969] 30671/70 Heading C7F A substrate of e. g. thermoplastic polycarbonates of bivalent phenols is coated by evaporation with a layer of Si Ox, where x is 1 to 2, and 5 to to 10 per cent by weight of zirconium oxide. The layer may also include not more than 5% of the oxides of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, B, Al, Ga, In, Ce, Eu, Sn, Pb, Ti, Hf, Bi, Th, V, Ta, Mo, W, U, Mn or Fe. The layer may be coated with a further layer of Si Ox. The layer may be formed by evaporating zirconium silicate.
