Abstract

1313696 Photo-electrophoretic imaging XEROX CORP 30 April 1970 [2 May 1969] 20906/70 Heading G2H A photo-electrophoretic imaging system comprises an injecting electrode 10 having either a corrugated conductive surface or a surface comprising alternating areas of high and low conductivity. It is stated that this enables a low field to be used, thereby reducing arcing between electrode 10 and blocking electrode 18. In Fig.4 (not shown) the other surface of electrode 10 is lenticulated to concentrate imaging light on the ridges or more conductive portions. In Figs. 2, 3 (not shown) a cylindrical injecting electrode is used and an arm (59) In sliding contact with the electrode earths a limited portion thereof.
