Abstract

1313050 Countersink screw assembly PAUL HETTICH & CO 6 Dec 1971 [22 Feb 1971] 56597/71 Heading F2H An assembly comprises a countersink screw 4 having axial projections 14 on the underside of a frusto-conical head 7. The projections 14, which may be separated by grooves 13, engage opposite sloping walls 6 of an elongate slot 2 in, for example, a rigid hinge 1 so that accidental unscrewing and overscrewing is prevented. The screw head shown in Fig. 1 is octagonal in lateral cross-section. The degree of lateral curvature of the axial projections determines the rotational force required to unscrew or over-screw. The assembly further comprises a plastics mounting block 3 having a hole 5.
