Abstract

1312946 X-form metal phthalocyanines XEROX CORP 28 May 1970 [3 June 1969] 25637/70 Heading C4D X-form metal phthalocyanines are prepared by (a) mixing phthalonitrile in an alkylalkanolamine solvent, (b) adding ammonia, (c) adding a catalytic amount of an X-form phthalocyanine, (d) adding a metal salt and then refluxing. 2 - Dimethylaminoethanol is the preferred solvent and copper, cobalt, magnesium, zinc, cadmium and calcium metal salts are used.
