Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve oxidation resistance as well as dispersibility to magnetic paint by depositing amine salt of carboxylic acid contg. polyoxyalkylene on the surfaces of metal magnetic powder.
CONSTITUTION: Metal magnetic powder is added into an organic solvent contg. amine salt of carboxylic acid contg. polyoxyalkylene and these are mixed under stirring. Thence, this magnetic powder is filtered and dried to allow the amine salt of the carboxylic acid contg. polyoxyalkylene on the surfaces of the metal magnetic powder. These make it possible to improve the oxidation resistance of the metal magnetic powder as well as its dispersibility and filling characteristic to magnetic paint.
