Abstract

1312654 A concentrate for a wax emulsion polish E HOLBUS 23 April 1970 19457/70 Heading B1V [Also in Division C5] A concentrate for use in the preparation of a wax and oil-in-water emulsion which is suitable for application as a self-polishing coating for spray coating automobiles comprises by weight, Carnauba wax (3-10%), a liquid mineral oil (7-14%), a cationic emulsifier (7-14%) and a non-ionic surfactant (1-4%) prepared by the reaction of nonylphenol with ethylene oxide. The surfactant includes a water soluble portion and an oil soluble portion. The liquid mineral oil may be a naphtha. The cationic emulsifier may be an aliphatic amine acetate. The emulsion can be prepared by mixing the concentrate with hot water.
