Abstract

1310793 Sieving apparatus BAGGERMAATSCHAPPIJ BOS & KALIS 15 June 1971 [19 June 1970] 27867/71 Heading B2H A sieving installation for a mud dredging and transport system comprises at least one stationary sieve 2, at least one rotatable drum sieve 1 arranged downstream of the sieve 2, and a collector 7 for collecting mud that passes through the sieves, the sieves being so dispersed that mud passing through the stationary sieve 2 is directly received in the collector 7 whereas mud passing, together with coarser material, over the stationary sieve passes into the drum sieve 1 where it is separated and falls in to the collector. The mixture of mud and coarse material is pushed up through a line 3 and distributed across the sieve 2 by means of a transverse pipe 4. The slope of the sieves 1 and 2 may be adjustable. The speed of the drum sieve 1 may be variable and blades may be disposed in the drum for influencing transport of the material and separation. The drum may be cylindrical or conical.
