Abstract

1309334 Gauging device SCHWEITER ENG WORKS Ltd (MASCHINENFABRIK SCHWEITER AG) 19 April 1971 [27 Jan 1970] 20102/71 Heading G1M [Also in Division D1] A gauging device for thread comprises a thread guide pin 3 and an adjacent parallel knife 4. The knife is carried by a holder 5 movable by a sliding cam 9 and lockable by a screw 7, alternatively means may be provided to lock the cam 9. The cam 9 is loaded by a spring 16 and has a scale 14 to indicate the separation d of the knife 4 and the pin 3. The cam 9 may alternatively be a rotary disc with a slot or may be replaced by e.g. spindles worm gears or a rack and pinion provided a motion reducing function is performed.
