Abstract

1309031 Laminates BEKAERT SANV 23 April 1971 11209/71 Heading B5N [Also in Division E1] A panel for forming the core a wall comprises a round insulating central layer 1 of expanded polystyrene, an intermediate layer 2 on each face of the central layer comprising cardboard 3 supported by a metal mesh grid, the rods 4 of which are welded together through slots 5 in the board, and an outer layer of welded metal mesh 6 and 7 on each face of the panel, the panels being held together by ties 7 passing through the panel and around the rods of the outer layers. In a wall the panels are rigidly interconnected by welding the rods of the outer layers of adjacent panels together and then plaster 8 is sprayed over the whole surface. At door and window openings the central and intermediate layers are omitted and the outer layers are cut out after the plaster spraying has taken place.
