Abstract

1308796 Suction grippers BAKER PERKINS Ltd 17 Nov 1971 [2 Dec 1970] 57365/70 Heading B8H A suction cup for use in apparatus, such as that described in Specification 949,909, for removing bread loaves from tins comprises rubber bellows 1 moulded integrally with an attachment 2 formed with a seat 3 for a spherical valve member 4. A stem 5 extending from the valve member 4 is attached to a perforated disc 6 which fits into one convolution of the bellows. The spring of the bellows is sufficient to hold the member 4 on the seat 3 but on engagement with a loaf to be lifted, the member 4 is raised from its seat to allow suction to be applied to the cup.
