Abstract

1307963 Reciprocating pumps and motors SLIFER MFG CO Inc 17 Nov 1971 53373/71 Heading F1A A hydraulically-actuated pump comprises cylinders 14, 16 each divided into actuating and pumping chambers 50, 146 by piston assemblies 26, 28 pivotally mounted on each end of a common piston rod 24 which is formed with valving lands 34, 36, Fig.6, and functions as a spool valve to reverse a hydraulically-actuated valve 64 controlling flow to and from actuating chambers 50. Throttle passages 108, 110 in housing 30 of valve 64 damp the movement of the valve during reversing, and magnets 120, 122 hold the valve in its end positions. Pivot pins 130 connecting the respective piston assemblies to the piston rod are arranged at right angles to each other. Piston 28 has seals 142, 144, any leakage past either piston into space 148 draining through port 160. Inlet and outlet ball valves 170, 172 are provided for each pumping chamber.
