Abstract

1307610 Automatic current regulation SIEMENS AG 28 Aug 1970 [29 Aug 1969] 41438/70 Heading G3X [Also in Division H3] An integrated circuit amplifier or stable current source comprises two transistors T1, T2, carrying currents related by the relative area of their emitter junctions, a common base current source provided by a further transistor T3 connected also to maintain a constant collectorbase voltage for T1, the collector of T2 being connected to the emitter of a transistor having its base connected to collector of T1 to maintain the collector-base voltage of T2 constant. The transistor connected to the collector of T2 may be either a further transistor T4 or may be transistor T3 with a second emitter connected to T2 T5 Fig.3, (not shown). It is explained that the current 12 and 14 bear a fixed relation to I1 and are independent of the collector voltages..
