Abstract

1307605 Cd-Hg selenide composition MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL Co 10 March 1970 [14 March 1969] 11347/70 Heading C7A [Also in Division H1] Photo-conductive material comprises a crystalline alloy of the general formula:- Wherein x is between 0 and 1, doped with Cu or Ag as an activator and Al, Br, Cl, Ga, I or In as a co-activator. The material may be made by firing a mixture of Cd, Hg and Se, in compound or elemental form, and simultaneously or subsequently doping the alloy formed with the activator and co-activator. The initial mixture of Cd, Hg and Se may be fired at 700-800‹C. under an inert gas pressure of 70-100 atm. and the product refired at 1100-1200‹C. with an inert gas pressure of 70-100 atm.
