Abstract

1441447 Selenium alloy LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS GmbH 5 Sept 1973 [30 Sept 1972] 41841/73 Heading C7A [Also in Division G2] An alloy for use in electro-photographic elements comprises tellurium, arsenic and at least 61À3 wt. per cent selenium. The preferred alloy composition is 61À3-99% Se, 0À5-38À2 As and 0À5-38À2% Te; two particular compositions being 88% Se, 10% Te, 2% As and 85% Se, 5% Te, 10% As. From 1 to 10,000 p.p.m. by weight of a halogen may be present in the alloy. The arsenic or tellurium or both may not be evenly distributed in the alloy but rather graded.
