Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain titled agent of good compatibility with rubber, capable of poviding rubber with high flexural resistance, by mixing phenothiazine and a substituted phenothiazine in a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The objective agent for rubber can be obtained by mixing (1) 20W80(pref. 35W65)wt% of phenothiazine and (2) 80W20(pref. 65W35)wt% of a substituted phenothiazine of the formula (R1 and R2 are each H, 3W12C alkyl, or 7W9C aralkyl; but they are not H at the same time) (e.g., 3-isopropyl phenothiazine). It is recommended that 0.5W4pts.wt. of the agent is incorporated in 100pts.wt. of a natural or synthetic rubber.
