1307048 Folding apparatus POLYGRAPH LEIPZIG KOMBINAT FUR POLYGRAPHISCHE MASCHINEN UND AUSRUSTUNGEN VEB 20 Jan 1972 2773/72 Heading B8R The folding jaw cylinder 1 of a rotary folder comprises folding jaw members 6 and 11, at least one of these jaw members (6, as shown) being so retained by resilient means (e.g. spring 10) against a support 5 mounted on the cylinder as to be pivotable about an edge 16 of the support against the restoring force of the resilient means. Upon gripping of a thick product 15 being folded (by movement of jaw 11 towards jaw 6) the jaw 6 is first deformed until a certain pressure is reached and is then pivoted about edge 16.
