1306802 Clamps I J VALE 4 June 1970 [19 June 1969] 30982/69 Headings E2A and E2B A structural joint comprises a pair of clip parts each having a pair of apertured parallel flanges 35, 38 the flanges of one clip part being adapted to be bolted upon either side of a first structural member, a post 2, and those of the other part upon either side of a second member a tie 6 extending transversely and laterally of the first member, one of the clip parts carrying at least one apertured arm 40 adapted to be bolted to a further structural member or members a strut or struts 4 extending transversely and laterally of either or both the first and second members, each pair of clip parts carrying at least one hook portion 43 for engagement with a door peg or pegs. One clip part has a base 31 of rectangular section to engage one web of an I beam alternatively when the beam is T shaped, the base is shaped to fit the stem of the beam. The joints may be used to form the frame of a livestock container with an up and over door which has a peg in each comer. To open the door, the door is pushed inwardly at the top and the pegs ride along the channels in a pair of posts 2 and ties 6. One pair of pegs connect with two hook portions 43 to hold the door open.
