Abstract

1306756 Tuning mechanisms SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 19 April 1971 [8 April 1970 23 Dec 1970] 26322/71 Heading G3T A "motion transformer" for converting vibratory motion to rotary motion as used in an electric watch has a vibrator means such as a tuning fork 5 and at least one resilient member 7 coupled to the vibrator means by one end and having its other end in engagement with a ratchet wheel 8 and being chordally disposed relative to the wheel. Another resilient member 6 co-operates with the wheel to provide additive drive. Figs. 6(i), (ii), (iii) show different methods of attachment of a palet jewel 7a at the end of the resilient member for co-operation with the ratchet wheel. The resilient member may have two parallel leaf spring arms 7', 7", Fig.7, with a palet jewel 7a between the free ends. The two members 6, 7 may be attached to different points on the same tine or to different tines of the fork 9, Figs. 9 to 13 (not shown) and the wheel may be located between the tines Figs.12, 13 (not shown).
