Abstract

1306592 Laminated wall coverings IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 April 1971 [19 Feb 1970] 7948/70 Heading B5N A decorative wall covering comprises a paper sheet having on one of its surfaces, its decorative surface, a continuous coating of a polymeric material and laminated to its other surface, e.g. by means of a nitrile rubber adhesive, an openweave fabric. The paper sheet may be of paper or a web of cellulosic fibres impregnated or bonded with, for example, synthetic resin or rubber latex. The fabric may be scrim having cover factors for both warp and weft of about 4. The coating may be of plasticized and pigmented polyvinyl chloride and paper impregnated with latex to which the coating is applied may be printed and embossed prior to bonding to the fabric. The wall covering may be attached to the wall by means of a water-based starch adhesive.
