Abstract

1306109 Producing multiple images POLAROID CORP 25 Sept 1970 [8 Oct 1969 25 June 1970] 45883/70 Headings G2A G2C Images from two or more sources such as a subject photograph 58 and an L-shaped area of information data 76 are produced on a photographic sheet using the method described in Specification 1306110. In the present case, however, the two exposures are made simultaneously, instead of sequentially as in that Specification. The subject is photographed by the main objective lens 54 at the front of the camera (10), Fig. 1 (not shown), by means of a flash source 52. A polarizing plate 64 is interposed in the light path, as in Specification 1306110. The data card 32 is mounted on a hinged door (30), and illuminated from within the camera by a further flash source 44. Light from card 32 passes through another objective lens 36 mounted on an inner dividing wall of the camera 38, passes through polarizing plate 62 and is reflected from a mirror 48 towards the photographic sheet. Mirror 48 has a cut-away or unsilvered section 56 to allow passage for the image from objective 54. Immediately in front of this is a polarizing plate 66 having two separate sections 72, 74, whose transmission axes are orthogonal to each other, and aligned respectively with those of plates 62 and 64.
